Dimitri Papaefstratiou

Dimitri is a senior project finance lawyer, with EY UK and is listed as a “Leading Individual” by Legal 500 in London for both Power (including renewables) and Oil & Gas.

He has advised sponsors, lenders and tendering authorities in a wide range of projects and has particular experience of transactions in Greece, South East Europe and emerging markets (especially Africa).

Dimitri has a strong track record of advising clients in complex energy and infrastructure projects, including project finance, development and dispute settlement and helps clients maximise the opportunities generated by the Energy Transition, especially Hydrogen, Renewables and high efficiency Gas-Fired IPPs.

He is passionate about how the Energy Transition is fundamentally reshaping the global energy market.

Prior to joining EY UK, Dimitri led the London energy projects team at a global law firm.

Dimitri obtained a first class Degree in Law from Oxford University and obtained a Master’s Degree (M.Jur.) in European and Comparative Law from Oxford University.
