On October 21, 2021, the 1st THE GREEKS ARE BACK Conference will take place in Athens, with the participation of fifty Greek senior executives from more than forty large multinational companies, and based in twelve countries around the world.
For the first time, high-level executives of large companies abroad are coming to Greece, in a structured Conference, to share their experiences and suggestions on how Greece can improve its attractiveness as an investment destination.
The Conference will include plenary discussions in six Working Groups, which will discuss how to improve Greece’s attractiveness as an investment destination in the following areas: Green Investment, Tax Framework, Talent Attraction, Innovation and Research & Development, Digital Transformation, Silver Economy.
All the proposals will be incorporated into a concise paper, “Initiative for Foreign Investments in Greece,” which will be distributed to the government, the political parties, the Greek Parliament, institutions, media, etc.
The Conference will be attended by the Minister for Finance, Christos Staikouras, the Minister for Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister for Development and Investment, Nikos Papathanasis, the Secretary General for International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of Enterprise Greece, Ioannis Smyrlis, and the President of SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, Dimitris Papalexopoulos.
The Chairman of L’Oréal, Jean-Paul Agon, and the CFO of JTI, Vassilis Vovos, will also address greetings.
